From April to September, temperatures are usually mild and pleasant, perfect for outdoor activities. If you're looking for a more spiritual experience, consider visiting during the summer solstice or fall equinox. This was my second retreat at the Detox Barn. My experience last year was so good that I didn't think it could be improved, but I was wrong.
Last year I stayed away from the property because all the hotel accommodations were full, but this year I stayed in the barn. The room and bathroom were just beautiful. The morning views over the Suffolk countryside and the gentle awakening to warm water and lemon before doing yoga were perfect. This time I brought some friends, some knew each other and others didn't, but the magic that Sharon and Lauretta created made it a perfect mix.
They are very generous hosts, with their time, knowledge and passion. Fun, warm, friendly and considerate, it's unlike any other retreat I've ever done. It's like spending a weekend with friends, wrapped up in a caring blanket. Informality is what makes it so special.
Great location, wonderful treatments and great food. For me, digital detoxification and forced relaxation are the best. It's not “jam-packed” with activities, and this is what makes it so wonderful. It will be an annual thing for me from now on.
It was the perfect time, as there was so much happening on the news, so it was really refreshing to disconnect and enjoy quality time together. I've never done it before, but after meeting the other lovely guests and the friendly, gentle yoga teacher, it was a really lovely way to start the day. The love for yoga at TK has sought to build a good foundation in teaching methodology and understanding the requirements that a yoga teacher will need to meet in order to be a safe (Ahimsa) and self-confident yoga teacher. Turn off your devices and enjoy a simple life with daily vinyasa yoga aimed at all levels, with Adam Husler, based in London, evenings around the fireplace and swimming in nature on the lake.
Wendy has been practicing yoga for 20 years, has taught for seven years and is certified by the Kundalini Research Institute. This rural retreat southwest of Ashford offers a variety of spa and yoga weekends to help promote rest and rejuvenation. Your base will be a stylishly converted barn near Stowmarket, in rural Suffolk, where a combination of gentle yoga, meditation, country walks and time to relax will help participants feel much better in a pleasant and welcoming environment. A 17th-century thatched-roof cottage houses a peaceful retreat near Sherborne, where guests eat healthy vegetarian meals in a farmhouse's cozy kitchen.
I highly recommend this virtual retreat to anyone, whether you're looking for an elevator, a break, or just something to do on a weekend at a time with very little opportunity to have fun. TK Yoga has created a new training for yoga teachers to meet the standards set by the Yoga Alliance UK accreditation services. If you want to relax, disconnect from technology and reconnect with people, nature and food, this is a great haven for you. Try to reduce your consumption of processed foods, meat, dairy products, sugar, caffeine, and alcohol before the recall to get the most out of it.
I did yoga for the first time in a long time, underwent two wonderful reflexology treatments and a massage, in addition to walking with the others. It's held over long weekends from April 16 to 18 and from April 23 to 25, and once a month thereafter, and it's a gentle detoxification retreat that combines demonstrations of juices and smoothies that boost the immune system and healthy foods. This retreat appealed to me because of its focus on food and because I listened to Sharon and Lauretta's podcast about their journey, which led them to create The Detox Barn. .
